iShares MSCI Europe IMI Index ETF (XEU)

The iShares MSCI Europe IMI Index ETF seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the MSCI Europe IMI (the “Index”), net of expenses. The Index captures large, mid and small capitalization representation across the “developed markets” countries in Europe, being Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The primary investment strategy of the fund is to invest directly in constituent issuers included in the Index or in securities of one or more exchange-traded funds managed by BlackRock Canada or an affiliate, such that the resulting portfolio will have characteristics that closely match the characteristics of the Index.

XEU, by focusing on MSCI’s IMI (Investable Market Index) for Europe, provides the broadest exposure as far as capturing Large/Mid/Small Capitalization companies not only in Eurozone member countries sharing the EURO, but also others, notably the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
